Documents get a pane of their own
Documents became a pane kind rather than a file an agent mentions: created before they are named, renamed in place, persisted across relaunch.
Realm's pane grammar covered sessions, terminals and browsers. Documents were the obvious fourth, and their absence was why work kept leaving the app the moment it produced something worth reading.
A document is created before it is named, and renamed in place afterwards. The naming dialogue in front of an empty file is a question nobody can answer yet.
Rich and source modes preserve the same document identity, and a document keeps its tab, its title and its save state across a relaunch.
