A browser pane that survives a space switch
A browser view outlives the pane showing it: switching spaces no longer reloads the page, logs you out, or interrupts the agent working in it.
Browser views were owned by their pane, so leaving a space destroyed them. Coming back reloaded, which meant a form half-filled was gone and a signed-in session sometimes was too.
A view now outlives its pane. It stays retained, unthrottled and drivable across the switch, bounded by an LRU budget so a day of browsing does not accumulate without limit. A browser an agent is currently working in is kept out of the eviction queue entirely.
Closing a browser became the user's decision rather than a consequence of navigating away. This is checked against the real binary: that the page survives the switch is the kind of claim only a real window can settle.
